YOCON completes process upgrade for FEP cell culture bags

YOCON announced a new round of process upgrades for its FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) cell culture bags, focused on film formulation and heat-sealing.

Internal validation shows roughly 15% higher O₂ permeability at room temperature, maintaining dissolved oxygen more stably during high-density culture — beneficial for large-scale expansion of highly oxygen-demanding cells such as natural killer cells.

The revised heat-sealing process further narrows batch-to-batch variation. Every batch is still verified for endotoxin, sterility and cell growth before release.
